The reputations of the US government and the Biden Administration are being destroyed because of Israel’s Genocide against Gaza.
This is a shameful moment in American history. There have been many, but supporting genocide directly, with weapons, money and verbal support, is the biggest shame I can imagine.
If I was living in Michigan yesterday during their Listen to Michigan campaign I would have voted Uncommitted in their primary, along with the Arab-Americans living there and allegedly, all the “young people” who care about human lives, (as opposed to the older people who allegedly don’t give a damn.)
This Friedman column today is worried about the same things I’m worried about: that Israel’s genocide is dragging America down into the sewers of political regard in the world.
Listen to Michigan‘s website says,
Michigan voters are sending Biden a clear message in the February 27 Democratic primary that he can count us out. We are filling out the UNCOMMITTED bubble because we strongly reject Biden’s funding war and genocide in Gaza.
Trump only won Michigan in 2016 by about 10,000 votes. Uncommitted Michigan Democrats opposed to Biden’s policy in Gaza can demonstrate that we hold his margin of victory for re-election.
Biden must earn our vote through a dramatic change in policy.
So many people in the US agree with this.
The primary season is a perfect time to do a protest vote. Hopefully the Listen to Michigan campaign will be implemented in other states this primary season. President Biden needs to listen to voters and stop the support for Israel’s war actions immediately.

I don’t think Israelis or the Biden administration fully appreciate the rage that is bubbling up around the world, fueled by social media and TV footage, over the deaths of so many thousands of Palestinian civilians, particularly children, with U.S.-supplied weapons in Israel’s war in Gaza. Hamas has much to answer for in triggering this human tragedy, but Israel and the U.S. are seen as driving events now and getting most of the blame.
So the whole Israel-Gaza operation is starting to look to more and more people like a human meat grinder whose only goal is to reduce the population so that Israel can control it more easily.
