Trump election-denying candidates won several races in the primaries last night. However, Kansas voters rejected the banning of abortion in their state.
Some of the Trump Chosen are certifiably insane reality deniers, which makes you wonder why they are not medicated and/or put in an institution for their own mental health. Politics in the US remain clear-cut. Democrats embrace reality, believe in science, and have the ideas and ability to take this country forward. Republicans want to take us backwards into the white nationalist past, during the days of the KKK and women being so suppressed and subservient they literally had no lives of their own. We will not go back.
Republicans still want to enslave and routinely physically harm both black people and women. All of us, as Kansas voters did last night, need to completely reject their backwards ideas. We need realistic solutions to problems we have, not nostalgia for the old racist and sexist past of America.
Arizona in particular seems to be a horrific backwards place that is busy installing election conspiracy theorists into positions of power.
Finchem may be the most radical of the bunch. He was once a member of the Oath Keepers, a far-right militia group, and assumed a frontline role in Trump’s efforts to invalidate the 2020 election: He met with Trump lawyers and advisers, including Rudy Giuliani, shortly after the election to argue that there had been substantial fraud in Arizona, and participated in the push to nominate “fake electors” to help overturn the election. He was in Washington during the Jan. 6 insurrection, and footage from that day has shown that he was outside the Capitol during the riot.

Maybe Arizona, along with Texas, should leave the United States and become part of the Racist Misogyny States of the New Wild West.
